Crayons4Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to brightening the lives of hospitalized children across America. We donate toys and games to hospitals all over the U.S, but we tend to focus our efforts in our home town of Kalamazoo, Michigan. We are extremely lucky to have the community of Kalamazoo behind us, who has supported us for over 20 years!
WHO WE ARE
It all began in 2001 when Emily (6) and Matt (5) left a cardboard box on their Southern California porch to collect crayons and coloring books for the children's hospital where their father worked. Friends and neighbors were the first to contribute to the mission, which followed the Leinwand family through four U.S. States, settling in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since its humble beginnings, Crayons 4 Kids has collected thousands of crayons, coloring books, and toys for hospitalized children across the United States. To this day the organization remains active collecting and distributing toys.
